Ladan & Sina’s Persian wedding was held at La Mamounia in the heart of Marrakech. I flew out from the UK to meet them in Morocco for their summer wedding with all of their family & friends from around the world. The celebrations started a day before, the wedding party journeyed out to El Fenn, a Riad in the streets of Morocco. Family & friends joined them for sunset drinks on the rooftop in the very warm (for an English man like me!) but beautiful sunshine, followed by candlelight dinner , music & dancing. Everyone headed back at midnight ready for the wedding day.
On the wedding day we gathered at La Mamounia an absolutely stunning venue set behind the walls of Marrakech for Ladan & Sina’s Persian wedding. The centre piece for their ceremony the Sofreh Aghd (table of light). This was followed by a secret garden dinner reception in the ancient olive & orange groves by candle light. All leading to the dance floor for the celebration of celebrations! So much of this wedding is impossible to put into words. The simply amazing Boutique Souk - truly the ‘Marrakech magic-maker’s’ in organising this awe-inspiring wedding. A wedding of such arrangement (and mid-summer moroccan sunshine!) required more than one set of hands to tell the whole story, I extend my gratitude to David Pullum for 2nd shooting for me. Also to Tim Nesmith the videographer, working like us in a documentary style to seamlessly and creatively capture this simply wonderful couples beautiful wedding.
Thank you to Ladan & Sina for inviting me to shoot their most valuable memories. To be given complete freedom to creatively document this once in a lifetime celebration was a dream come true.
Here are some images from this couples magical wedding that I am pleased to share with you.
